I'm a very newbie in this electronic matter, having limited knowledge about electronics cause some problem to me while experimenting for a new kind of subject, particularly for CNC in DIY way.
I'm interested to built 4-axis DIY CNC milling machine for my hobby and future entrepreneur work, and I choose this 4-axis Hi-speed Opto-isolated interface, but there're some problem arise, such as:
1. In Indonesia (Surabaya in East Java is my home town), it's quite difficult to find parts like the HPCL2630 (dual-channel hi-speed optocoupler) and SIL Resistor Network. Is it possible to modify the schematic, using the 6N137 (Chinese-manufactured, single channel version of HPCL2630 and also replacing the SIL Resistor Network into the common resistor? I would like to show you my draft if you don't mind, for correction if there're mistakes.
2. the 6N137 has another volt input (pin 7), does it has to be connected to pin 8 too if I used the 6N137 instead of HPCL2630?
3. In the datasheet, the pin 5 and 8 of the optocoupler were suggested to be bypass with ceramic capacitor about 0.1uf, but in the original schematic this capacitors were not applied. Is there any difference / improvement if I add the capacitors as suggested?
4. Resistor networks are hard to find in my local area
5. In the original schematic, all resistors were rated in 1/8W, may I use the 1/4W resistors instead? 1/8W types were also hard to find.
Many thanks in advance, I'll be waiting for inputs from the PMinMo forum.
